MDC\FWOI started out in 1971 operating programs which had been primarily that of a basic adult education function but has altered its thrust to that of job training and placement. MDC\FWOI originally operated programs in thirteen Delta and semi-Delta counties but now has the capacity to operate on a state-wide basis provided it has ample financial resources.
